Sangiovese has very ancient origins. Some scholars believe that this wine was known as early as the Etruscan times. However, the origin of the name remains uncertain.

Vintini PICENO
Rosso Piceno Superiore
The maturation of this wine takes place in steel tanks for 4 months and continues with refinement for a further 8 months in second passage barriques. Refinement in bottle for 4 months follows. It takes the name of “superior” after one year of maturation.
Its fresh and direct impact, very clear, played on floral notes, with vegetal nuances of laurel centered on notes of red berries, makes this wine the always perfect choice.

The history of Vintini wines begins in Puglia. It begins with heart and hand: the loving heart and powerful hands of father Pietro, who has always been passionate about winemaking. And the story begins with Pietro’s passion for those who are dearest to him: the family. “For the family only the best!” has always been the Intini motto.
Pietro Intini understood the fruits of the vine as a gift of nature. And few places in the world are as blessed by nature as the land of wine par excellence: Italy. With well over 1,000 registered grape varieties, Italy is the world’s largest producer of wine. From northern to south the seemingly endless coastline paired with the mountains creates microclimates that grow special grapes that passionate winemakers turn into unique wines. Puglia, the home of the Intini family, stands out in particular. Countless hours of sunshine, dry heat and the most fertile soils coupled with the cooling breezes that blow up the slopes from the Mediterranean Sea give rise to unique grape varieties. Primitivo, for example, the wine of Puglia par excellence, is appreciated and loved worldwide.
